Tom Brady has still got it.
The retired NFL quarterback showed off his arm strength Thursday in a new video for NOBULL, the training company his nutrition and apparel brands merged with in January.
Captioning the Instagram video, “Arm still works,” the 47-year-old Brady can be seen tossing a football downfield while hyping an extended video on YouTube, where he hit the gym for his “first max bench press in 18 years.”
Brady, who retired from the NFL last February after 23 prolific seasons, revealed in the YouTube that the last time he max benched was with the Patriots, with whom he played for 20 seasons.
“Probably ’05, ’06 with [quarterback] Matt Cassel. Him and I just grinding it out to see who could lift more,” Brady said.
Upon cracking the 245-pound threshold, Brady uttered his signature “Let’s go!” catchphrase.
Although Brady won’t be playing this season — despite endless “unretirement” chatter — he will be close to the game as Fox Sports’ lead NFL game analyst.
Prior to his final NFL season with the Buccaneers, Brady joined the network in May 2022 on a monster 10-year, $375 million contract.
He will work alongside play-by-play caller Kevin Burkhardt, who spent the past two seasons with former NFL tight end and Sports Emmy winner Greg Olsen.
Olsen is shifting to Fox’s No. 2 team, which consists of play-by-play announcer Joe Davis and reporter Pam Oliver.
Brady, who won seven Super Bowls in his Hall of Fame career, previously expressed he doesn’t “want to let anyone down” as he readies for his next professional chapter.
“It’s been 30 months since I actually committed to doing this. Just got time to really take it all in, and put myself in a position to understand what it really takes to be successful with this,” Brady said in Thursday’s YouTube video.
“… It’s been I think a lot of preparation to get to this point, so, I think now it’s for me now, how does the preps actually translate into a real-life game and I think when I see that red light go on, I think it’s pretty exciting for me to be like, ‘Here we go!’”
Brady will make his regular-season debut next Sunday when the Cowboys visit the Browns in Week 1.
