The Knicks added a veteran shooter roughly two weeks before training camp.

Landry Shamet, a 27-year-old combo guard, agreed to a one-year deal with New York, a source confirmed Saturday.

Prior to the signing, the Knicks had one roster spot open with 14 guaranteed contracts (they can hold up to 15 players in the regular season).

Although it’s unclear if Shamet’s one-year deal is guaranteed, the expectation is he’ll be on the final roster after choosing the Knicks over two other suitors, a source told The Post.

The Knicks, according to multiple sources, are still exploring ways to address the center position after losing Isaiah Hartenstein to the Thunder.

The free agent market is dried up at that position so it’s more likely the Knicks try to find a solution via trade.

Shamet was teammates for a season with Mikal Bridges in Phoenix.

He played last year for the Wizards, where he mostly came off the bench in 46 appearances and averaged 7.1 points on 43% shooting in 15.8 minutes.

Local fans might remember Shamet’s lone season in Brooklyn, where he played alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving while helping them advance to the second round of the playoffs.

Shamet’s 3-point shot (he’s at 38% for his career) and playoff experience (53 appearances in his first five seasons) are his biggest assets.

He was a second team All-Rookie selection with the Clippers in 2019.

The Knicks were pretty stacked in the backcourt with six guards — Jalen Brunson, Bridges, Donte DiVincenzo, Miles McBride, Tyler Kolek and Cam Payne — but depth, as last season demonstrated, can come in handy.

By the end of the playoffs, the Knicks were down to three guards — DiVincenzo, McBride and Alec Burks.

The lack of healthy bodies was probably the biggest reason New York blew a 3-2 series lead to the Pacers.

The Knicks open training camp Oct. 1 in Charleston, S.C.

They’ll go straight from Charleston to Charlotte for the preseason opener against the Hornets on Oct. 6.

The home preseason opener is against Shamet’s former team — the Wizards — on Oct. 9.
