Kevin Durant is staying put.

The Phoenix Suns did not trade the 15-time All-Star at the 2025 NBA trade deadline, which was at 3 p.m. ET on Thursday.

Rumors had swirled over the last week about Durant potentially getting dealt, and ESPN reported there was at one point a three-team trade in place between the Suns, Warriors and Heat that would’ve sent Durant to Golden State and Jimmy Butler to Phoenix.

But Durant, 36, made it known he was not interested in reuniting with the Warriors, who then pivoted to acquiring Butler and giving him a two-year, $111 million contract extension.

ESPN reported that “several” teams called the Suns about Durant on Thursday but nothing materialized.
