Aaron Rodgers’ first live snap after Achilles surgery won’t be until Sept. 9.

The Jets will not play Rodgers or any of their other starters Saturday against the Giants, head coach Robert Saleh revealed before the final practice of training camp.

Backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor also will sit — after he had words for his former team after making a big play during a joint practice against the Giants — as Andrew Peasley will start at quarterback and Adrian Martinez will play in relief.

Saleh always was leaning in this direction, though Rodgers had expressed an interest in playing during the preseason.

He lasted only four regular-season snaps last year before tearing his Achilles.

The first-team offense took about 800 reps together during training camp, Saleh said.

Rodgers sat out just two practices, but answered questions about how much trust he has in his leg by making off-schedule throws.

“You saw in OTAs with all the 7-on-7 stuff, he was throwing the ball but he was doing it from the pocket,” Saleh said. “He has plenty of mobility.”

It’s a change from the past for Saleh, who played starters alongside Rodgers in 2023 and alongside Zach Wilson in 2022 and 2021.

Wilson suffered a knee injury in the preseason against the Eagles that sidelined him for the first three games of his second year.
