JJ Watt disagreed with a taunting call made following CeeDee Lamb’s 55-yard touchdown on “Thursday Night Football.”
The recently retired defensive end was watching what became a Dallas Cowboys’ 20-15 win over the Giants when Lamb caught a touchdown and had turned around to look in the direction of Giants corner Deonte Banks as he went into the end zone.
Lamb then lightly tossed the ball in Banks’ direction, which earned a taunting penalty following the score.
Watt, now an analyst for CBS, was displeased — and not with Lamb.
“These taunting calls are getting out of hand,” the Texans great posted on X. “You’re telling me that was worthy of a penalty?!”

Lamb was in the midst of a strong performance, recording season-highs in receptions with seven and receiving yards with 98, along with the touchdown that stood despite the penalty.
He also carried the ball three times for an additional eight yards, giving himself his first game of 2024 with 100 all-purpose yards.
The Cowboys snapped a two-game skid with the road win, improving to 2-2 on the season, while pushing the Giants to 1-3.
The Cowboys have a Monday night matchup with the Steelers next week. While the Giants will visit the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, October 6.
