Rumor has it that Adele is a big fan of the Summer Olympics.
At the 16-time Grammy award winner’s concert on Saturday in Munich, Germany, there was a break from her setlist to turn on a broadcast on the big screen of the women’s 100-meter sprint final in Paris.
The race featured American Sha’Carri Richardson, who was on a redemption Olympic run after she was suspended for testing positive for THC (cannabis), a banned substance under the World Anti-Doping Agency Rules.
Adele’s fans yelled and cheered with their cell phones out to record the moment.
Despite Richardson’s dominance in the opening-round heat on Friday with a time of 10.94 seconds, Adele, her fans and the world watched the American runner take silver with a 10.87 run after Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred got out front for gold to win the island nation’s first-ever Olympic medal.

Fellow American Melissa Jefferson earned bronze.
It wasn’t the only big watch party around the world, as Saint Lucia had one of their own to watch Alfred sprint for the gold in what was arguably a rowdier gathering.
Scores of Saint Lucia natives could be seen dancing, waving flags, and running around screaming in celebration in a video of the watch party.
With the gold medal win, Alfred takes the title of the fastest woman in the world.
Adele’s new residency is set in Munich from Aug. 2-Aug. 31, and with the Olympics concluding on Aug. 11, there may be more concert breaks to come.
