Groundhog Day came early in Miami this year.

The Heat are planning to suspend Jimmy Butler — again.

This time it will be for two games after he missed a team flight on Wednesday, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported.

According to the report, Butler initially had intentions of joining the Heat later on Wednesday as they get ready for their game in Milwaukee on Thursday.

But now Butler will sit out games against the Bucks and Nets as part of the suspension.

The decision to suspend Butler comes less than three weeks after the Heat banned him for seven games for what the team called “multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team over the course of the season and particularly the last several weeks.”

Butler had told reporters the day before that suspension that he was hoping to find “joy” again on the court and that it likely would not be coming in Miami.

At the end of December, amid swirling rumors that Butler wanted out of South Beach, the Heat put out a statement that boldly said they would not be dealing him.

However, they walked that talk back during their initial suspension.

“Jimmy Butler and his representative have indicated that they wish to be traded, therefore, we will listen to offers,” the team said.

On Friday, Butler returned to action and had his agent, Bernie Lee, post a statement à la Michael Jordan, saying: “I’m back.”

He’s scored 18, eight and 13 points in the three games since his first suspension, exceeding the 30-minute mark just once in that time.
