Johnny Gaudreau’s daughter was seen practicing her hockey moves in an adorable video posted by the late hockey player’s sister on social media.
Katie Gaudreau posted the video on Monday of Johnny Gaudereau’s daughter Noa, who will be 2 in October, playing floor hockey.
Johnny Gaudreau, along with his brother Matthew Gaudreau were killed on Aug. 29 when they were struck by a motor vehicle while they were biking in their home state of New Jersey.
The tragedy occurred a day before Katie Gaudreau was supposed to get married.
The heartwarming video showed Noa working with Katie to score a tennis ball puck on a mini goal, which elicited cheers from the girls after they did it, according to People.
The video was originally shared by a friend of Katie Gaudreau’s with the words: “Noa loves her Auntie Katie” written over the video with a heart emoji.
Johnny Gaudreau left behind two children when he was killed, Noa and 7-month-old Johnny.
His wife told mourners at a memorial service that she was nine weeks pregnant.
“John and I had the best six months as a family of four,’’ Meredith told the packed crowd of mourners at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Media, Pa., referring to life after the birth of their second child, son Johnny, in February.
“These will forever be the best six months of my life,” the widow said, speaking in front of the caskets of her 31-year-old husband, a Columbus Blue Jackets star, and his 29-year-old brother.
“There’s specifically one week that I will cherish forever — it will be my favorite week of my life out of those six months. We’re actually a family of five. I’m in my ninth week of pregnancy with our third baby,’’ Meredith said.
Sean Higgins, 43, who is accused of killing the Gaudreau brothers, was ordered to remain in jail by a judge last week.
Higgins faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted on two counts that he’s charged with.
He will be back in court on Oct. 15 for a pre-indictment conference.
