Tyreek Hill expressed confusion over why he was detained by police officers during a Sunday morning traffic incident a block away from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

He described the situation as “crazy” while addressing the events for the first time after the Dolphins’ win over the Jaguars and was unable to explain why officers cuffed him.

He told reporters he had “no idea” why it happened.

Hill was cited for reckless driving after allegedly speeding and passersby captured some of the interactions between the star wide receiver and officers just outside the stadium.

“I wasn’t disrespectful because my mom didn’t raise me that way,” Hill said of the incident. “I didn’t cuss. I did none of that. I’m still trying to figure it out.”

Video of the incident showed Hill in handcuffs on his stomach on the ground and separate footage showed the Dolphins wide receiver upright with his hands cuffed behind his back.

A officer at one point appeared to aggressively move toward him.

Hill was asked by a reporter after the game if an officer had put hands on him while he was handcuffed, to which he replied, “Yeah.”

One of the officers involved in the incident had been placed on administrative duties and Miami-Dade Police Department said it was conducting an “immediate review” into Hill’s detainment.

“That should tell you everything you need to know,” Hill said about the news that an officer was placed on administrative duties due to the incident.

Several of Hill’s teammates stopped to try and help Hill when he was stopped, which the receiver expressed a lot of gratitude for.

“I’m just glad that my teammates were there to support me in that situation because I felt alone,” Hill said. “When they showed it made me realize that we got a f–king good team this year. For them to put their life on the line, it was amazing to see.”

Hill’s teammate, Calais Campbell, said he was also placed in handcuffs at the scene.
